Good Afternoon,
It was another great week out here in Naulu. We saw a lot of miracles this week.
Two of which I want to share.
First Miracle.
We were following up with one new investigator but it turned out they were busy. As we were leaving I remembered one lady we had seen about a month earlier but never went back to visit. I had a feeling we should go check on her. We were welcomed into the home and started to talk. She told us she read a bit about the things we had shared prior and all she could remember was "Gospel." From there we proceeded to read from 2 Nephi 31 together. She made some great points from the reading and then asked us " Do you guys baptize?" She asked if we could baptize her because she didn't receive the Holy Ghost after her first baptism. As we were closing I had a strong impression, one of the strongest I have ever felt, to tell her "Your Heavenly Father loves you." She started to cry and couldn't really talk due to emotion but was really eager to have us come back the next day. It was a great experience. We've been following up and she needs her husbands permission before she comes to church and is baptized so we are working on that for now.
Second Miracle.
There was one girl, Milika, who used to always hang around the Sisters when they were here in Naulu about 4 months ago. She would always ask great questions about the gospel. Teaching her was very tricky due to a lot of drama at home and her Mom not wanting her to leave their current church. When the Sisters left the area we started to teach her a little. We noticed she started to develop a testimony but was held back from acting on it. She then told us one day she wanted to be baptized in November, when her catholic missionary classes were over. However, she told us that she wanted to be a missionary for our church. It was an odd situation. I was trying to tell her that if she wants to be a missionary for our church its better to be baptized sooner so she could go on the mission quicker. Eventually things fell off, she wasn't sure about being baptized anymore. However, after visiting the family and becoming close with Milika's mom everything changed. This past Tuesday Milika found us and told us she wanted to be baptized this weekend. It took me back. So we got everything prepared and she was baptized this past Sunday.
These two miracles happened back to back. Within a matter of 2 hours. T'was quite a day.
We also were able to take our recent convert Joet to the temple this week and it was wonderful. She was able to build her relationship with the members in the ward and she got hyped up to do some family history work. She's awesome.
