You win some, you lose some - 25 Jun 2017

Bula Vinaka Kemuni Kece,
This past week flew by.  A lot of ups and downs, but that's what Missionary work is all about.  The exploration for new houses and villages continued.  As you'll see, the first picture below was taken on Wananavu peninsula.  Home of a really nice diving resort, but a land of potential for us. You should see some of the roads we scale in our little Toyota Yaris.  We get some interesting looks when people see us pull up in their area, knowing what we just drove through in our "Yari".  Just shows our dedication to the work.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church was all over the place this week.  They set up a little podium and some speakers then yell sermons to the people.  Can't see how the Spirit could dwell in such a place.  However they have really been working against us.  We had a family that was on the 4th lesson and preparing for their baptism in a week, but didn't want to wait that long.  Saturday morning we got a call from a member in their village telling us the whole family just got baptized that morning in the Seventh Day Church.  Was definitely some disturbing news, but really showed that they weren't taking anything we taught seriously.
On a brighter note, we got to bless someone who was possessed this week.  This 15 year old girl, who at first seemed completely fine, was yelling, twitching, and speaking a random language no one understood.  She would turn to my companion and I then start cussing at us in English.  It was quite impressive the extensive vocabulary she had on that matter, but it was still very frightening.  Her family said she was normal a couple months prior, then one day just started acting her current way.  She calmed down after the blessing.  We visited later that week and she was doing a lot better, but still some work to do.
Church was great yesterday!  Had a nice High Councilor speak of how we need to act on our faith.  We can't just plant a seed in our heart, find out it is a good seed but then not nourish it. (Alma 32)  It is very satisfying to notice each week I am able to understand a bit more of what each person is saying.  Yet I would still consider myself illiterate in the language, but it is coming along nicely!
Also had an inactive member come back to Church this week and he brought his family! Thus giving us 3 more investigators.  Should be a good week coming up.
Have a great week everyone,
Work hard to rid the stress.
Love,
