Yadra Vinaka Kemuni Kece,

It has been a good week.  We had Zone Conference this past week and the topic was "Learning the Language."  It has been a common thing now for a lot of Missionaries to not learn Fijian.  Since we can get away with teaching in English most of the time, it deters from the incentive some have to learn Fijian.  We were reminded of the difference it makes to someone when they hear our message in their mother tongue.  Also, in doing so we are fulfilling the promise made by the Lord that all the people of the world will have a chance to hear the Gospel in their language.  I have re-activated myself in learning this language. I definitely wasn't in a rush to become fluent in Fijian after just finishing the Kiribati speaking program in Rabi, but now I am really pushing myself to pick it up quickly.

I have learned so much on my mission.  I have learned a lot about myself and more importantly a lot about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  At this point in my mission I am looking to solidify the good habits I have made and am hoping most things will stick long after the end of my mission.

This past week we went to a fireside and were fortunate enough to hear from John Groberg, the Missionary from the movie "The Other Side of Heaven."  He asked us all "What do you pray for?"  He invited us to direct our thoughts and concerns to how we can build the kingdom of God.  He also clarified some of the scenes from the movies and further elaborated them.  It was a great experience to hear them firsthand.

It was a great week!

Love,
